College Names New Department Chairs

Dean Wm. Gerard Sanders has named three new department chairs in the College of Business.
Yoris Au has been appointed chair of the Department of Information Systems and Cyber Security. An associate professor, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
Joining UTSA's faculty in 2003, his areas of research include economics of information systems, technology adoption and electronic/mobile payments.
Prior to joining academia, Au worked 11 years in the information technology industry.
He will serve a three-year appointment.
Stewart Miller, associate professor of management, has been named chair of the Department of Management.
Miller joined the UTSA faculty in 2007 and has previously held faculty appointments at The University of Texas at Austin and Michigan State University.
His teaching and research interests are in international strategy, internationalization and emerging markets.
“As chair, I would like to provide an environment that people can thrive and do their best research,” he said. “Our department has the faculty capable of conducting high-quality and impactful research.”
He will serve a three-year term.
Yinlong "Allen" Zhang has been named interim chair of the Department of Marketing. Zhang, associate professor of marketing, has been on faculty at UTSA since 2004.
He will serve in this role for 2013-14 while a national search is conducted.
Zhang’s research focuses on consumer psychological issues and their marketing implications for globalization and cross-cultural differences.
He received his Ph.D. from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
