How many hours are necessary to complete the degree?
There are a total of 33 semester hours. These include 5 required courses, 4 electives courses and 2 capstone courses (MOT 6933, Directed Research, and MOT 6933, MOT Capstone/Professional Report). Upon admission to the program, the graduate committee has the right to require additional core courses which aren't counted toward the degree.
What is the usual course load per semester?
Students usually take 2 courses each semester including in the summer. They would then complete the degree plan in 2 1/2 years.
I work. When are the classes scheduled?
The classes are scheduled in the evenings after 5:30 p.m.
Can I take engineering classes as electives?
Electives can be taken from other disciplines such as biomedical, engineering, computer science, etc. They must be pre-approved by the Graduate Advisor of the Program, Dr. William Flannery.
I travel a lot with my job. Can I make up the classes?
Our classes are available on streaming video 24 hours after the class. A student can also access them live on a camera or may call in and interact by phone. Your phone will be charged for airtime.
