UTSA College of Business
Management of Technology Program
Management of TechnologyWelcome to the Management of Technology Program (MOT). This program offers professionals in scientific, engineering, mathematical or other technology-based disciplines the management skills necessary to meet the growing, world-wide demand for managers who can bring advances in technology to the marketplace in the form of innovative products and services.

Management of Technology is an interdisciplinary field that bridges the disciplines of business, engineering and science to link research and commercialization efforts within the life cycle of technology. UTSA's program was established in 1993 and modeled after successful national programs. It is the only public program in the state of Texas.

The MOT Program at UTSA offers three masters degrees: the Master of Science in Management of Technology (MSMOT), the MBA with a concentration in Management of Technology, and the MBA with a concentration in Project Management.

The MSMOT is a joint program between the College of Business and the College of Engineering. It focuses on the complex issues involved in developing new technologies and innovative products and services.

Small classes and a diverse faculty encourage the sharing of concepts and experiences in an interactive, dynamic learning environment. The use of interactive videoconferencing technologies allows class linkages with other students and lecturers from other locations globally. We hope you will become a part of this unique program.
