Internationally Minded Business Students
Why sign-up for the International Business Plan Program?
The Free Trade Alliance Future Global Leaders: International Business Plan Program was created in partnership with corporate and educational partners to enhance global perspectives. Established in 2009, 220 students from 32 universities and 24 countries have participated in this program, more than doubling participation each of its first three years. Participating students will work with mentors from global corporations and will learn how to consider issues relating to technology, renewable resources, product disposal, packaging, price competition and creating consumer demand.
Teams of 4-5 students develop a one-page executive proposal and 10-12 page business plan, which also addresses environmental sustainability and maintains an international component. Student teams compete for over $20,000 in prize money.
College of Business International Relations will sponsor the first 25 UTSA business students who apply for this competition. This is on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for the sponsorship is 5 p.m. Friday, October 19.
Please contact the International Business Programs office at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in participating in the competition.
If you miss this deadline, you can still register for the program directly with the Free Trade Alliance at http://www.freetradealliance.org/content/international-business-plans. Funding will not be available for students who miss the Oct. 19 deadline.
