Ermine Orta teaches courses in management science and statistics at UTSA.  An award winning instructor, she received the Regents Outstanding Teaching Award from the University of Texas System in 2011 and the President’s Distinguished Teaching Award and the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award in 2010.

In addition to her teaching duties, Orta serves as program coordination for the university’s Quantitative Literacy Program.  As program coordinator, Orta has developed workshops on course redesign so that all core curriculum courses can integrate quantitative reasoning in their fields.
