Dr. Dianna Stone received her Ph.D. from Purdue University and is currently a professor of management at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). She joined the UTSA faculty in 2006 after serving on the faculties of the University of Central Florida, the University at Albany, State University of New York, Virginia Tech and Rutgers University.
Dr. Stone has teaching and research interests in organizational behavior (OB), and human resources management (HRM). Her research focuses on diversity in organizations, cross-cultural issues in OB and HRM, electronic human resource management, privacy in organizations and employee selection. The results of her research have been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, the Academy of Management Review, Human Resource Management Review (HRMR), Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management and other journals. She is currently the editor of the Journal of Managerial Psychology and has served as associate editor of the Business Journal of Hispanic Research and guest editor for HRMR.
In 2012 the Gender and Diversity Division of the Academy of Management presented her with the Sage Scholarly Achievement Award for her contributions to research on gender and diversity. She was also given the Lead (Best) Editor Award by Emerald Publishing Company. Dr. Stone is a fellow of the American Psychology Association, the Association of Psychological Science and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). She is a past chair of the Human Resource Management Division of the Academy of Management and Financial Officer of SIOP.
