Long Liu is an assistant professor of economics at the UTSA College of Business. Professor Liu holds a Ph.D. in economics from Syracuse University, a M.A. in management and a B.A. in economics from Renmin University of China.

Professor Liu's primary area of research includes panel data, spatial regression and nonparametric regression. His research has appeared in journals such as Econometrics Journal, Economics Letters and Statistics and Probability Letters.

Professor Liu currently teaches undergraduate and Ph.D level econometrics courses and an introductory microeconomics course to the undergraduates.
