UTSA College of Business
The college’s new Department of Entrepreneurship and Technology Management explores the intersection of these two fields with focuses in global entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and technology entrepreneurship.  Management of technology is an interdisciplinary field that bridges the disciplines of business, engineering and science to link research and commercialization efforts within the life cycle of technology.

The department offers a bachelor’s in business administration degree in entrepreneurship; MBA concentrations in management of technology and project management; a master’s certificate in technology entrepreneurship and a master’s of science degree in the management of technology.

Students can take specialized courses in entrepreneurship, essentials of project and program management, business plan development, managing teams, technology commercialization.  Student organizations include the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organizations, Students in Free Enterprise and the Latino Financial Issues Program.

The college has established two unique centers to explore entrepreneurship from both a socially-oriented perspective as well as from a technology perspective: the Center for Global Entrepreneurship and the Center for Innovation and Technology.
