DYNAMIC LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Integrating personal leadership into the EMBA requires a unique learning environment. This environment includes a relationship with UTSA’s Center for Professional Excellence (CPE) featuring a state-of-the-art executive learning facility with a team-oriented, interactive classroom atmosphere.
Relationship with the CPE
The EMBA is offered through the CPE in the College of Business. The CPE is a network of learning communities that brings together executives, professionals, faculty and program participants to explore contemporary issues challenging organizations and their leaders. In this fertile learning environment, EMBA program participants have access to outstanding business faculty and a local and national network of business experts. These cooperative relationships engage peers, faculty and accomplished leaders in dialogue that brings the emerging global and highly technical business environment into a personal leadership focus.
Executive Learning Environment
Classroom activities are held in the CPE’s executive learning facility. This space is dedicated to executive and professional programs, creating a unique learning climate within the university. The facility includes a conference room, a seminar theater and a multipurpose room for dialogues and teleconferencing. For more informal interactions, the center provides team study rooms and lounge areas for breaks.
Classroom Atmosphere
Admission criteria assure participants a peer atmosphere in the classroom. Lockstep scheduling throughout the program enhances EMBA class camaraderie and strengthens a sense of community. Participants are assigned to study teams to ensure an interactive sharing of knowledge and experience. These study teams encourage the development of strong relationships among participants who share similar career challenges.
