Faculty member Jerome Micek presents a lecture in one of the college's distance learning classrooms.
Every business pursues its objectives by offering goods or services for sale. In today's highly competitive business environment, marketing professionals systematically analyze a firm's market and explore market segments to help top management build brands that customers are willing to buy. Marketing decisions also include pricing offerings, distributing them where customers want to buy them, and communicating a brand's attractive features.
The Marketing Department provides a wide variety of courses including Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, Retailing, Advertising, Personal Selling, International Marketing and Strategic Decision-making. In addition courses are offered in Sports Marketing and Tourism Management.
At the graduate level, marketing is one of the core business components of the MBA program, including a concentration in marketing. The department also offers a Ph.D. concentration in marketing as part of the Ph.D. in Business Administration program.
