UTSA’s College of Business is one of the leading institutions in the field of infrastructure assurance education. The information assurance program at UTSA has been designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education and a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Research by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security. Only 23 programs in the nation have achieved the research designation.

From faculty to facilities and hands-on training, UTSA is the place to be for information assurance education. The college offers personalized training for students as they study biometrics, data mining, intrusion detection and cyber forensics in our state-of-the-art Advanced Laboratories for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (ALIAS).
The 2,200-square-foot ALIAS lab houses classrooms and research laboratories designed to support research in biometrics, digital forensics, advanced telecommunications, data mining and intrusion detection.
