College of Business Mission, Vision and Core Values
The College of Business' mission, vision, and core values statements reflect the purpose of our college (mission), what we aspire to be (vision), and the guiding principles that we will use to reach our goals (core values).
The College of Business is dedicated to creating and sharing knowledge that enhances the translation of theory to practice. The college combines rigor with relevance and provides innovative solutions to global business challenges.
The college’s vision encompasses Knowledge for a New World. As part of the strategic planning process and development of the mission statement, the College of Business also undertook a "branding" exercise to launch this vision. The tagline, "Knowledge for a New World," was developed in consultation with a public relations consultant and has been trademarked. The statement embodies the college’s positioning to integrate the new world business issues of emerging markets, security and cultural pluralism and, in turn, to develop transformational leaders. With an unparalleled set of strategic alliances, as well as centers and programs, the college prepares students to assume leadership roles in the new world of business. To achieve this vision, we strive to prepare our students to shape the future of business by becoming global business innovators and transformational managers. We seek to provide internship experiences, international experiences and other practical experiences to complement our interdisciplinary academic programs.
