College Hosting Panel Oct. 7 on Financial Crisis

In response to the recent economic crisis, the UTSA College of Business is hosting a panel presentation “Addressing the Financial Meltdown,” at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 7 in the Richard S. Liu Auditorium (2.01.02) on the UTSA 1604 Campus.
Economics and finance faculty members from the nationally ranked and recognized UTSA College of Business will discuss the nature of the financial crisis, the cause of the meltdown, consequences for the U.S. and global economies, and implications for the average consumer.
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Lynda de la Viña, dean of the College of Business. Panelists include Professor Palani-Rajan Kadapakkam, U.S. Global Investors Inc. Fellow in Finance; Professor Lalatendu Misra, U.S. Global Investors Inc. Fellow in Finance; Dr. Tom Thomson, director of the Real Estate Finance and Development program; Dr. Yiuman Tse, U.S. Global Investors Inc. Fellow in Finance; Dr. John Wald, associate professor of finance; and Dr. Ken Weiher, chair of the Department of Economics.
