Business Student Council
Business Students Make Donation to Ernst & Young Leadership Suites

Beginning new traditions in the UTSA College of Business, the Business Student Council made a $3,000 gift to the college’s Ernst & Young Leadership Suites. The gift marked the first time that a business student organization has given back to the college financially. “Each week we meet in the Ernst & Young Leadership Suites, and we wondered what it would take to get our names on the donor wall,” said Kenneth Martinez, president of the Business Student Council and a senior management science major. “The Business Student Council supports student professionalism, and this seemed like a perfect opportunity for us to give back to college.” The students raised the money by selling College of Business T-shirts and by co-sponsoring the Texas Energy Expo.

Statistical Consulting Center
College's Statistical Consulting Center Provides Consultations
for Business Community

The Statistical Consulting Center (SCC) in the UTSA College of Business is quite possibly one of the university's best-kept secrets. The center operates within the college's Department of Management Science and Statistics and provides a wide range of high-quality research and statistical consulting services at a more affordable price than the average private consulting company. SCC Director Dan Sass and Assistant Director Stephanie Cano work with Ph.D. students in applied statistics to take on a wide range of projects from students, faculty and businesses. The SCC offers a unique opportunity for individuals or companies to obtain statistical consultation services on various aspects of research including data management and analysis, interpretation and reporting of results, statistical programming, research design and instrument development.
