
College Hosting Symposium Nov. 1
to Address Real World Applications of Business Research
Highlighting the real world applications of business faculty research, the UTSA College of Business will host a research symposium "Bridging the Gap: Research to Practice" on Nov. 1. The event begins at 3:30 p.m. and will be held in the University Center Ballroom. Presentations will be given on such topics as corporate finance, green real estate, international accounting, computer security and managing employees. The event concludes with a reception.

Texas MedClinic CEO Bernard Swift
to Present Frost Distinguished Lecture Nov. 7
Dr. Bernard T. Swift Jr., founder and CEO of Texas MedClinic, will present the keynote address during the UTSA College of Business Frost Distinguished Lecture. The lecture begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 in the Richard S. Liu Auditorium (2.01.02) in the Business Building. Swift established in 1982 Texas MedClinic, a multi-facility urgent care and occupational medicine clinic system. His operation has grown to include 14 locations in San Antonio, New Braunfels and Austin.

Internationally Renowned Poet and Author David Whyte to Present His Perspectives on Conversational Leadership Oct. 23
Poet and Author David Whyte will share his perspectives on conversational leadership during his presentation of "The Pilgrim's Way: Setting the Direction for a Future Life." The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 in the Recital Hall in the Arts Building. Sponsored by the college's Center for Professional Excellence, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Leadership Challenge program.

Get Rowdy at the College of Business Homecoming
Pre-game Luncheon Oct. 20
Come cheer on the undefeated Roadrunners and celebrate Homecoming with the College of Business at a pre-game luncheon on Oct. 20 inside the Alamodome at the Top of the Dome Club. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Watch the Roadrunners take on San Jose State with business alumni and friends in the college section. Group ticket pricing is $14.
