Founders Council Members Mentor Business Students

Giving back to the next generation of real estate leaders is the goal of the Real Estate Finance and Development Mentorship Program.  The program, which was developed by the Real Estate Finance and Development Founders Council, helps students “learn the ropes” in the real estate industry. The mentorship program began last fall and provides students an opportunity to connect with industry professionals for career guidance and professional development opportunities.

Wil McIntosh to Headline Founders Council Luncheon May 16

Will McIntosh, global head of research at USAA Real Estate Company, will present the keynote address at a luncheon hosted by the UTSA College of Business Real Estate Finance and Development Founders Council on May 16. McIntosh is responsible for developing commercial real estate investment strategy and managing in-house global research with the objective of informing and enhancing the real estate investment process.

Companies Invited to Participate in UTSA Real Estate Expo March 28

The UTSA Real Estate Finance and Development Program will host their annual Real Estate Expo on Wednesday, March 28 in the University Center Ballroom. Real estate professionals can meet with students to discuss internship, professional development and employment opportunities.Participation is free, and companies are provided with a table and space for displaying signage or banners.

CFA Competition Winners
Finance Students Place First in CFA Global Research Challenge

The key to being a great financial analyst instead of just a good one might be as simple as attending the right university.  A team of finance students from the UTSA College of Business proved that theory by placing first in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, a global competition which tests financial analytical skills of business students from throughout the world. The UTSA team will advance to the regional in April in New York.
