The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business has been ranked the #1 graduate business school in the nation for Hispanics by Hispanic Business in their September 2009 edition.

“We are honored to be recognized by Hispanic Business,” said Dr. Lynda de la Viña, dean of the UTSA College of Business and Peter Flawn Professor of Economics. “This ranking speaks to the quality of our academic programming and the services that we provide our MBA students and for our community. It elevates the college into the upper echelon of business schools in the nation.”

This is the second year that UTSA has been included in the listing and the 12th year that Hispanic Business has conducted their study. The rankings (in order) included UTSA, UT - El Paso, University of Miami, UT - Austin, Stanford University, University of New Mexico, Dartmouth, Florida International University, University of California at Berkeley and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Hispanic Business ranked the top 10 business schools nationally based on a number of criteria that illustrated commitment to diversity, including enrollment of Hispanics, percentage of full-time Hispanic faculty members, student support services, graduation rates and graduate program reputation. Their ranking also included the top universities in medicine, law and engineering.
